This Grenfell Tower reporting covered a truly devastating community disaster. Grenfell Tower reporting, the full story– wp:paragraph –>London has seen its fair share of bad news recently and the Grenfell Tower block fire is the latest disaster to devastate a community and shock the world.
I was approached by i24NEWS, an Israeli international television channel located in Tel Aviv, to report the latest.
This was a fast moving story, with a death toll that unfortunately increased from 12 to 17 in the hours following the interview.
Like millions of others watching the news, I was incredibly saddened to see this happen and hear harrowing stories of people jumping and babies thrown out of windows to safety. Lots of questions remain unanswered… especially surrounding the recent renovation and fire safety standards in the block. Prime Minister Theresa May has ordered a public inquiry.
There are numerous ways to help out – donations have been coming in thick and fast to help those impacted. Gofundme and Justgiving are just two ways you can show your support.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those missing, injured and perished in this dreadful event.
